Project overview

TshirtLoop is an end-to-end e-commerce platform selling custom-printed apparel to schools, clubs and teams in the United States. The centre of gravity is not a conventional product page but a design studio that runs in the browser. The studio is built around a three-step flow: design, quantity, review. Users work on the front and back of the garment separately, add ready-made artwork, upload their own files or place text. They choose between DTF printing and embroidery, and the choice is reflected in the price. The technically demanding part is making what appears on screen match what comes out of production. The canvas therefore works in real print dimensions rather than pixels: every element is sized in inches, and the product-specific print area boundary is shown live. Artwork cannot extend beyond it. The text editor supports seven writing systems: Latin, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Greek has a dedicated letter palette — Greek life apparel demand at US universities is one of the platform's primary use cases. On the catalogue side, products from brands including Bella+Canvas, Gildan, Comfort Colors, Champion, Adidas, Under Armour, Core365 and Columbia are managed across t-shirt, sweatshirt and fleece, woven shirt, polo and knit, bottoms and headwear categories. Each product carries its own colour variants, size range and quantity-based pricing. The infrastructure is containerised with Docker; PostgreSQL sits in the data layer, with Node.js on the application side and a React interface written in TypeScript.
